Project Application

The location of coal spontaneous combustion is neither on the surface nor in the deep part of the coal pile, but in the oxidation layer 1.5 - 5.5 meters away from the surface (with a cooling layer above and a suffocation layer below). Due to the thermal transpiration effect, the temperature is transmitted upward to the surface.

Application effect

In May 2016, smoldering occurred in a local area of a coal bunker in Shanxi. It was imperceptible to the naked eye, but the Fotric intelligent thermal imaging for fire alarm detected an abnormal surface temperature and sent an alarm message to the bound terminal. The coal yard noticed the abnormal temperature and promptly triggered water - spraying treatment, which gained 10 - 12 hours for rescue and eliminated the potential hazard at an early stage.
